Who I Am and What I Do

I’ve been a Reiki practitioner and teacher since 1993. I’m a passionate and compassionate healer dedicated to helping my clients move through a wide range of physical, emotional, and spiritual transitions with ease and grace.

Through direct personal experience, I have found that Reiki enhances one's meditative and spiritual practice and helps open the pathway to reclaiming our innate ability to heal and bring our life more fully into balance. Reiki's beauty, simplicity, and gentle efficacy are easy to learn and compatible with other healing practices. Persons from all walks of life are welcome in my Reiki circle.

I believe in and encourage a thoughtful blending of complementary, holistic practices with a doctor's conventional medical treatments, as may be appropriate. Rather than an either/or approach, I seek to incorporate spiritual energy healing modalities such as Reiki with conventional Western medicine to address the whole person: body, emotions, mind, relationships, and spirit. 

Clients referred to me by their physicians receive support that can promote responding more satisfactorily to conventional healthcare treatment. Sessions become a part of the client's overall individual treatment plan, with me providing feedback to physicians as part of their treatment team.

I am also a cultural practitioner of traditional Mexican Indigenous Healing. To avoid conflating Reiki with that tradition and respect for Indigenous customs' unique etiquette and protocols, I maintain a separate website for Curanderismo, the Healing Art of Mexico.

I travel and teach extensively and live near San Diego, California.
